Welcome to this amazing learning trip!!!

Hey! and welcome to this amazing learning trip through the cell membrane. What is the cell membrane? Why it is so important for the cell? The answers are the following.

First we have to know that.......

Every ling being is made up of the principal block of life called the cell, inside it there are several organelles that are vital for the good functioning of it. One of the most important organelle that is incharge of the protection is the theme of this blog, called cell membrane, plama membrane or lipid bilayer.

The cell membrane is the thin plasma, flexible cover from the cell. It works basically as a protection. The cell membrane accomplishes 3 main functions:

Isolate the cells contents from the external environment

Regulate the exchange of substances between the cells contents and the outside.

Communicate with other cells.

The cell membrane structure is composed basically of: phospolipids, proteins, and carbohydrates. The phospholipids, are very important, their appereance is similar to the phosphorus; the little head of the phosholipid is hyrdophilic, this mean is water-loving, and the little tail is hydrophobic this mean that the tail is afraid of water. The carbohydrates are very important because they are part of the recognition process. And finally the proteins; basically there are 3 main kinds:

Receptor proteins: They are in charge of receiving a message of other cells, they process the messages.

Transport proteins: These proteins are in charge of transporting a message to other cells.

Recognition protein: They are in charge of reconizing the messages that are give to the cell and determine if they are good or bad.

Dear hosts, there is a very important process that is one of the most important aspect from this topic is called: the osmosis. The osmosis is the diffusion of water across the cell membrane, is important to know that water moves from higher concentration zones to lower ones.

To conclude we can say that this organelle is very important and vital for the cell because of the mobility it gives to it, the nutrition, the protection, and the exchange of substances and messages.
